Who is responsible?
The data controller is Paxiz (pseudonym), the publisher of this site. Contact: .
What is recorded when you visit
Like any web server, the one hosting this site (at my home, in France) records each request in an access log:
- your IP address, truncated before it is written (last octet removed for IPv4, last 80 bits removed for IPv6);
- the date and time, the page requested and the response code;
- the name of your browser (user-agent).
Why, and for how long
Purposes: site security, troubleshooting, and anonymous visit counting. Legal basis: the publisher’s legitimate interest. Retention: 3 days, then automatic deletion.
The visit counter
The visitor count shown in the footer is computed from this log, with no cookie or tracking script on your side. To count each visitor once per day, the server computes a fingerprint from the truncated IP address and the browser, using a random salt that is specific to each day and deleted afterwards: the fingerprint cannot be reversed and cannot be used to recognise you from one day to the next.
Fingerprints are erased after 2 days; only the number of visitors per day is kept. Bots and automated tools are not counted.
The relay server
The site is reached through a relay server (a network gateway) that forwards your requests to the publisher’s server. It does not host the site, but it sees requests go by and keeps its own log for 7 days: full IP address, approximate country, page requested, date and browser. This log is used only for security and troubleshooting; it is not used to count visits.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics. Only one piece of information is remembered in your browser (local storage): your light or dark theme choice, and only if you click the button provided. It never leaves your device and is used for nothing else; you can erase it at any time from your browser settings.
Third parties and contact
No third-party service is loaded: fonts, scripts and images are served by the site itself (no ads, no social media buttons, no external statistics). Data is neither sold nor shared. Some links lead to other sites (for example the public BeamMP site), which have their own policies.
If you write to me by email or on Discord, your address and message are used only to reply; Discord applies its own terms.
Your rights
You may ask for access, rectification, erasure or restriction of data concerning you, or object to its processing, by writing to . Given the very short retention period and the truncated addresses, it is usually impossible to link a log line to a specific person; I will nevertheless answer any request.
If you have a concern, you can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: cnil.fr/en/complaints.
