- Custom admin panel — real-time multi-server dashboard, fine-grained permissions (server × action), kick and ban, mutes, message of the day, full audit log.
- Live player map — vehicle positions drawn on the game’s actual maps.
- Zero restarts — every feature is designed to never interrupt a running match; when a restart is unavoidable, players get an in-game warning 2 minutes, then 30 seconds ahead.
- Moderated public site — live server status, mod requests protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and approved by a human before anything is installed.
- Reliability — nightly backups, Discord alerts on crashes, FR/EN interface.
Paxiz · 20 · Nantes, France
Servers, code and plenty of passion.
Maintenance technician by day, self-taught infrastructure geek the rest of the time. I host game servers and tools for a small community — for free, from my own homelab.
About
A self-taught tinkerer who made infrastructure a playground
I'm Paxiz, 20 years old, living in Nantes, France. My day job has nothing to do with IT: I'm studying to become a welder-fitter, I've worked in industrial maintenance and as an industrial robot operator, and I'm now a maintenance technician for fire safety systems, electrical installations and plumbing.
IT and infrastructure are my passion, nothing more. I'm 100% self-taught: everything I know comes from building, breaking and fixing my own machines.
Everything I host is free for all users. I make no profit from it — I do it purely for the joy of building something that helps other people.
On the side, I buy used computer hardware in bulk from companies that are closing down. I refurbish the servers and resell them at low prices, to help people who are just starting out get equipped without breaking the bank.
Away from screens: cars and commercial aviation, especially long-haul flights.
The infra
A homelab that works like real infrastructure
Most of the work runs on second-hand hardware that I refurbish myself. Websites are published through an encrypted tunnel to a small VPS that acts as the entry point to the Internet.
Dell PowerEdge R630 · Proxmox VE 9
24 threads, 378 GB of RAM, ZFS storage. It runs 20 guests: 16 LXC containers and 4 virtual machines.
TrueNAS SCALE NAS
Xeon E3-1270 v2, RAIDZ1 storage, dedicated system disk with SMART monitoring.
Dell R710 · Proxmox Backup Server
Deduplicated backup server, powered on only on demand to save energy.
Network
HPE 1920S switch, 4 × 1 Gb/s LACP aggregation to the R630, SNMP monitoring.
Access: self-hosted Pangolin

Projects
What I've built
Four projects, all built from scratch to solve a real need — or out of sheer curiosity.
- Passive capture — traffic is observed read-only on the hypervisor’s network bridge. No HTTPS interception: only domain names are read, never the content of the exchanges.
- Analysis — probes extract connections and intrusion-detection alerts, then ship them to a custom dashboard.
- Detection — algorithmically generated domains, Tor exit nodes, site categories, an allowlist and a 0–100 risk score per machine.
- Reporting — exports, a printable report and a weekly Discord summary.
- Rust dashboard — Proxmox, IPMI, TrueNAS and switch (SNMP) refreshed every second, with an event log sorted by severity, shown full-screen on a mini PC.
- Phone control — an installable web app (PWA) over local HTTPS: themes, screen on/off schedule, monitor brightness driven over DDC/CI, actions on the machines.
- Repurposed Synel time clock — an industrial terminal running embedded Linux, reprogrammed to display and control Proxmox VMs from its keypad.
- Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 (v12.60) — playable solo, locally: 100-player matches with autonomous bots, bosses and NPCs, an XP system, levels and daily quests.
- Clash Royale 1.9.2 — a “living world” of 20,000 simulated players and 741 clans, with French-language chat and opponents drawn from that population.
- Hay Day 1.27 — a playable farm that is saved from one session to the next.
These are personal, experimental projects, accessible to me only. They are neither public nor shared, and I do not distribute their code, their tools or their method.
